Bags A Record is a Newcastle based company specialising in the manufacturing and wholesaling of handbags made from old vinyl records.

It was launched on July 1, 2007 with a resounding response from local retailers and customers alike.Each bag is handmade taking into consideration the quality of the record, the title and the colour of the label.

Some people like bags by known artists, some like the quality of the older records whilst others take the view, the daggier the record title the better. (And, oh my! There are some extremely daggy record titles out there.)

We currently have three local stores stocking the bags but most of our orders are custom made bags coming direct from consumers

Bags A Record has two size bags, LPs and 45s.

Know as the LP bag and 45s bag they are made with two LP or 45s records with a black non-rip vinyl insert holding them together.

You can order a bag with your favourite band or artist or if you’re not that picky just pick a coloured label and we’ll make it up for you

Each bag is incredibly durable and eye catching. But don’t let the size fool you. They hold as much if not more than an average size handbag.

Prices start at $30 - $50 for the 45s bags with LP bags going from $50 - $90 *depending on the records you would like.
